About Pressroom Partners
Pressroom Partners is the office of the Taylor Family: a multi-disciplinary wealth creation house which builds on both our specialised expertise and interests.
Our story started in 1936 when a young Len Taylor opened The Franklin Press, a print shop in Melbourne’s West. Len was inspired by Benjamin Franklin, who once said “Energy and persistence conquer all things.” This philosophy laid the foundation for the Taylor family approach.
In the 1980s we rebranded to Franklin Web, signalling our move into the billion-dollar catalogue print sector. For 35 years Franklin Web produced more than 3.5 billion catalogues per year for the biggest names in Australian retailing!
When Pressroom Partners was established in 2018 it marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Taylor family. Having operated our highly successful family business for 80 years, we decided to sell Franklin Web, when it was Australia’s most innovative catalogue producer employing nearly 200 staff.
The decision to sell was difficult, but the opportunity to channel our expertise and business savvy into new ventures was irresistible. The time was right to carve a new future.
